Nose to the Sunrise

“Why should your majesty think it? My own plans are made. While I may, I sail East in Dawn Treader. When she fails me, I row East in my coracle. When that sinks, shall I paddle East with my four paws. Then, when I can swim no longer, if I have not yet reached Aslan’s Country, there shall I sink with my nose to the sunrise…”

C.S. Lewis, Voyage of the Dawn Treader

  1. Sweet Reepicheep. Did you see the Dawn Treader movie that’s out? What did you think?

I did indeed finish Peace Like a River – what a unassumingly great book. I can’t wait to get his other novel. My book club began with a group of ladies who were starting homeschooling and all attended the same church — they wanted to read classics ahead of their kids. Now, hardly any of us go to church together but meet monthly…it’s lovely. A friend found one at a church across the street and likes her but I find book clubs hit-or-miss with how well thoughts and opinions mesh, you know? Not that we have to agree all the time, but more like a sense of respect for each other and for the authors.
